Product Overview and Introduction

Push your muzzleloading velocity and downrange energy to peak performance with the American Pioneer Jim Shockey’s Gold Super Black Powder Substitute (1-lb Canister). Developed in collaboration with legendary professional hunter Jim Shockey, this high-energy loose propellant is engineered for shooters and hunters who demand maximum velocity, flat trajectories, and uncompromised knockdown power from their muzzleloaders.

Whether you are loading for an in-line rifle or a traditional side-lock firearm, Jim Shockey’s Gold Super gives handloaders complete freedom in custom volumetric measuring while delivering exceptional ignition consistency without the heavy maintenance headaches of traditional black powder.

Endorsed by Jim Shockey for Extreme Field Performance

When hunting big game in demanding backcountry conditions, professional outdoorsmen rely on gear that performs without hesitation. Jim Shockey’s Gold Super is specially formulated to deliver a hotter, more energetic burn profile, ensuring optimal projectile velocity and maximum energy transfer upon impact.

• High-Energy Velocity: Designed to drive bullets faster and flatter at extended distances.

• Custom Volumetric Measurement: Allows you to precisely meter your grain charges using standard black powder measures for tailored hunting loads.

• Consistent Ballistics: Rigorously tested to provide dependable ignition across diverse weather and temperature conditions.

Clean-Burning, Sulfurless Formula

Traditional black powders leave behind thick, highly corrosive fouling due to their sulfur content. American Pioneer utilizes an advanced sulfurless formulation that revolutionizes firearm maintenance:

• Non-Corrosive Protection: Protects your valuable barrel rifling and breech plugs from rust and pitting.

• Low Residue Build-Up: Drastically cuts down on barrel fouling, letting you shoot significantly more rounds between cleanings without loader jamming.

• Odorless Operation: Completely eliminates the heavy, pungent “rotten egg” smell associated with vintage propellants.

Effortless Water-Soluble Cleanup

Post-shoot maintenance requires zero harsh, toxic chemical solvents. Because Jim Shockey’s Gold Super is 100% water-soluble, cleanup is as simple as wiping the bore with a patch dampened with ordinary tap water. Dissolve the residue instantly and restore your firearm to pristine condition in minutes.
