Originally designed by Piotr Wilniewczyc and Jan Skrzypiński as the standard service sidearm of the Polish military (wz. 35), the Radom was widely regarded as one of the finest combat handguns of the interwar era. Following the invasion of Poland in September 1939, German forces captured the Fabryka Broni plant and continued production under the designation Pistole 35(p). Due to its exceptional accuracy, robust ergonomics, and Browning-based lockup, the VIS 35 was highly favored by the German Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger).

Mechanical & Design Features

  • Action & Caliber: Recoil-operated, locked-breech mechanism utilizing a modified Browning tilting barrel system, chambered in 9mm Luger (9x19mm) with an 8-round detachable single-stack magazine.
