Following the annexation and occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939, the German High Command repurposed the Czech arms facilities to supply the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and German police forces. Re-designated as the Pistole Modell 27(t), over 450,000 of these rugged, compact blowback sidearms were produced between 1939 and 1945, seeing heavy distribution among staff officers, tank crews, and occupation security personnel across Europe.

Mechanical & Design Features

  • Action & Caliber: Simple blowback semi-automatic mechanism chambered in 7.65mm (.32 ACP), fed by a single-stack 8-round detachable magazine.

  • Slide & Finish: Flat-sided slide configuration featuring factory milled cocking serrations, a top sighting rib, and standard wartime blued finish. Slide roll-marked with German wartime factory address (Böhmische Waffenfabrik A.G. Prag or late-war fnh maker code).

  • Grips & Ergonomics: Original one-piece wraparound dark brown Bakelite grip emblazoned with the classic intertwined “CZ” crest. Features a heel magazine release and the distinctive Czech frame safety lever with lower release button.

Source & Provenance (Sauce)

  • Manufacturer: Produced under German occupation at Böhmische Waffenfabrik A.G. in Prag (Česká zbrojovka, Prague, Czechoslovakia, c. 1940–1945).

  • Proof Stamps: Period-authentic German military Waffenamt inspection stamps (WaA76) on the frame and slide alongside the standard German Eagle military acceptance proof.

  • Condition & Integrity: Original matching serial numbers on frame and slide, undamaged Bakelite grip panels, and honest period holster wear with smooth mechanical lockup.
