Product Overview and Introduction

Experience the next evolution of the iconic Austrian bullpup with the Steyr Arms AUG A3 M2 in .300 AAC Blackout (AUGM2GRNEXT300). Blending classic European design with modern tactical requirements, the M2 update optimizes the legendary AUG architecture for today’s shooter. Chambered in the versatile .300 Blackout cartridge and dressed in timeless Olive Drab (OD) Green, this rifle offers hard-hitting short-to-medium range performance, exceptional suppressor host capabilities, and unmatched maneuverability.

Whether running supersonic range ammo or heavy subsonic suppressed rounds, the AUG A3 M2 delivers superior ergonomics, reduced recoil, and maximum barrel length in an ultra-compact overall footprint.

M2 Enhancements and .300 Blackout Performance

The M2 configuration brings key design upgrades to the AUG lineup, refining optics mounting, heat dissipation, and modular utility:

• Chambered in .300 AAC Blackout: Tailor-made for suppression and specialized ballistics, giving shooters the flexibility to switch between hard-hitting supersonic rounds and whisper-quiet subsonic loads.

• Extended Picatinny Top Rail: Provides a long, rigid platform for mounting low-power variable optics (LPVOs), red dots, magnifiers, and thermal or night vision devices with optimal eye relief.

• Classic OD Green Polymer Stock: Molded from Steyr’s high-impact, weather-resistant polymer in signature Olive Drab Green for a military-spec, tactical aesthetic.

• Short-Stroke Gas-Piston System: Features an adjustable gas plug tuned to handle various pressure curves, ensuring smooth, reliable cycling with both suppressed and unsuppressed loads.

• Quick-Change Barrel Assembly: Retains the legendary tool-less barrel removal capability, allowing for rapid cleaning, maintenance, and barrel swaps.

The Ultimate Tactical Bullpup Upgrade

By moving the action behind the trigger, the AUG A3 M2 packs a full 16-inch barrel into a carbine profile shorter than many folded-stock rifles. The addition of the .300 Blackout caliber transforms this battle-proven design into a modern, quiet, and devastatingly effective platform for close-quarters defense, tactical training, and hogs or varmint hunting.
