Product Overview and Introduction

Discover an evolutionary leap in classic European service handguns with the Star Model Super B 9mm Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol. Manufactured by the renowned Bonifacio Echeverría S.A. in Eibar, Spain, the “Super” series was developed to modernize the legendary Model B platform for military and police contracts. While retaining the graceful lines, slim profile, and 1911-inspired single-action handling of its predecessor, the Model Super introduced significant mechanical enhancements—most notably an innovative linkless barrel design that improved reliability and simplified field stripping.

Chambered in the ubiquitous 9mm Luger (9x19mm) cartridge, this heavy-duty all-steel service pistol delivers exceptional target accuracy, manageable recoil, and fascinating historical pedigree.

Innovative Linkless Design and All-Steel Construction

The Star Model Super B stands apart from traditional 1911-style handguns through its advanced internal mechanics:

• Linkless Barrel Locking System: Replaces the traditional swinging link with a sturdy cam slot beneath the chamber, resulting in enhanced lockup consistency, greater durability, and smoother takedown.

• 5-Inch Service Barrel: Provides an extended sight radius, optimized ballistics, and inherent match-grade accuracy for precision range work.

• Robust All-Steel Build: Forged from solid steel components for a reassuring, stable weight that absorbs recoil effortlessly and ensures multi-generational longevity.

• Loaded Chamber Indicator & Magazine Safety: Features distinctive service-oriented safety updates designed for professional military deployment.

Service Heritage and Collector Appeal

Adopted by the Guardia Civil and various military units, Star “Super” pistols earned a stellar reputation for rugged dependability under harsh operational conditions. Surviving surplus examples of the Model Super B are prized by collectors for their unique mechanical improvements and classic European craftsmanship.
