An authentic, early wartime 1940 World War II German Mauser HSc semi-automatic pistol chambered in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP). Manufactured at the historic Mauser Oberndorf plant during the initial wartime production run, this streamlined sidearm features factory-original checkered walnut grips, matching numbers, and its period-correct leather holster rig. Authenticated and available at Armfoundry.com
Introduced in late 1940 as the Hahn-Selbstspanner-Pistole Ausführung C (Hammer Self-Cocking Model C), the Mauser HSc was engineered to directly rival the Walther PP and PPK. Early 1940-production examples are prized by collectors for their superior pre-war style high-polish bluing and exacting machining standards before wartime production shortcuts were introduced. During WWII, early HSc pistols were heavily issued to Heer army officers, Luftwaffe aviators, and Kriegsmarine naval commanders.
Action & Caliber: Double-action / single-action blowback system chambered in 7.65mm (.32 ACP), fed by an 8-round detachable single-stack magazine with finger-extension baseplate.
Low-Profile Concealed Hammer: Streamlined semi-exposed hammer contour designed to prevent snagging during a rapid draw from uniform pockets or cockpit gear.
Safety & Sighting: Slide-mounted manual safety lever that rotates the firing pin out of alignment with the hammer, paired with an anti-glare matted sighting groove along the top slide flat.
Grips & Slide Markings: Original factory-checkered European walnut grips, crisp Mauser banner emblem, and early-pattern slide legend: Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf a.N..
Holster Rig: Complete with a period-original molded leather combat holster featuring an integrated spare magazine pouch, intact retention strap, and secure belt loop stitching.
Manufacturer: Mauser-Werke A.G., Oberndorf am Neckar, Germany (Early wartime production, c. 1940).
Proof Stamps: Period-correct Eagle/N (Adler über N) German commercial/military nitro proof marks cleanly stamped on the right-side trigger guard web and slide.
Condition & Integrity: Matching serial numbers on frame and slide interior, high-condition early commercial/wartime blued finish with honest edge holster wear, crisp grip checkering, and an excellent bore with sharp rifling.
