Product Overview and Introduction

Acquire an iconic and highly innovative piece of Wehrmacht marksman optics with an Original WWII German ZF41 (Zielfernrohr 41) Sniper Scope, Mount, and Metal Carrying Case. Officially adopted in 1941 as the Zielfernrohr 41, this specialized 1.5x magnification telescopic sight was designed to turn standard Karabiner 98k rifles into precision semi-sniper platforms, allowing ordinary infantry squads to engage targets accurately at extended ranges without hindering standard rifle operation.

Compact and lightweight, the ZF41 mounts securely onto a specialized offset side-rail base affixed to the left side of the K98k receiver, allowing the rifleman to still use standard iron sights or reload via stripper clips if necessary. This complete collector rig includes the original blued optical tube featuring wartime maker codes and acceptance stamps, the matching rifle mount, and the hard-to-find original hinged metal transit case lined for field protection.

Historical Significance and Wehrmacht Low-Power Doctrine

As a pioneering concept in infantry marksmanship that predated modern Designated Marksman Rifles (DMRs), the ZF41 carries immense historical weight and unique manufacturing pedigree:

• Pioneering Infantry Scope Concept: Conceived to provide every Wehrmacht infantry platoon with extended-range capability, though its modest 1.5x magnification earned it the tongue-in-cheek soldier’s nickname Kaffee-Mühle (“Coffee Grinder”).

• Offset Side-Rail Integration: Cleverly engineered to mount on the left side of the K98k action, preserving top-loading capability and traditional iron-sight functionality.

• Wartime Maker Codes: Produced by leading German optical houses (such as dow, cxn, or duv), featuring crisp factory blueing and military eagle Waffenamt stamps.

• Complete Matching Rig: Accompanied by its authentic mount and original ribbed metal carrying tin, making this a complete, museum-ready set.

The Ultimate Centerpiece for Advanced K98k and Optics Collections

When your historical exhibition, museum display, or advanced military collection demands authentic wartime optical systems, correct offset mounts, and complete transit tins rather than post-war reproductions, the Original ZF41 Sniper Scope Rig stands out as an indispensable cornerstone.
