Product Overview and Introduction

Bring history to life with the thunderous sound and billowing smoke of Schuetzen Reenactor Black Powder (1-lb Canister). Manufactured using traditional European black powder production techniques, this specialty propellant is formulated explicitly for living history events, theatrical productions, Civil War reenactments, and ceremonial blank firing.

Offering an economical alternative to premium sporting powders, Schuetzen Reenactor delivers the dramatic sensory experience of authentic black powder without the premium price tag. Whether you are loading field artillery pieces or forming a musket volley line, this powder ensures an unforgettable historical display.

Formulated for Living History and Theatrical Use

Unlike standard sporting grades (such as 2F or 3F) which are engineered for pushing projectiles and maintaining tight velocity consistencies, the Reenactor blend is crafted for pure dramatic effect:

• Ceremonial and Blank Firing: The ideal choice for paper cartridges, blank musket loads, and cannon salutes where a projectile is not being fired.

• Economical Volume: Designed to be budget-friendly, allowing reenactment units and theatrical groups to purchase the large volumes necessary for multi-day events efficiently.

Authentic Smoke and Sound

When you need absolute historical realism, modern substitutes simply cannot compete. Schuetzen Reenactor powder is formulated with genuine potassium nitrate, charcoal, and sulfur to deliver:

• Dense Smoke Clouds: Produces the thick, lingering white and grey smoke characteristic of 18th and 19th-century battlefields.

• Thunderous Report: Generates a deep, chest-thumping “boom” that ensures your artillery or volley fire sounds as authentic as it looks.

Proper Maintenance and Safety Note

Because Schuetzen Reenactor is authentic black powder, it produces traditional, corrosive fouling.

• Post-Event Care: Thorough cleaning with warm soapy water or a specialized black powder solvent is absolutely mandatory immediately after your event to dissolve residue and prevent your barrels or cannon bores from rusting and pitting.

• Live-Fire Warning: This powder is designed strictly for blank firing only. It should never be used as a propellant for live projectiles or hunting, as its burn rate and pressures are not regulated for ballistic accuracy or safety with seated projectiles.
