Product Overview and Introduction

Maximize your pistol reloading efficiency, high-volume consistency, and low-light shooting performance with Alliant BE-86 Smokeless Pistol Powder in an 8 lb Jug. Engineered with a specialized flash suppressant and modern double-base technology, BE-86 delivers clean combustion, excellent velocity, and consistent pressure profiles across a wide spectrum of popular handgun calibers.

Whether you are loading thousands of rounds of high-performance defensive or competitive ammunition for the 9mm Luger, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP, stepping up to the 8-pound container ensures single-lot consistency and maximum value for high-volume handloaders.

Advanced Flash Suppression and Clean Combustion

Alliant Powder designed BE-86 to bridge the gap between traditional flake powders and high-performance spherical propellants:

• Integrated Flash Suppressant: Significantly reduces muzzle flash during low-light or night-time shooting sessions, preserving night vision and target acquisition when it matters most.

• Clean-Burning Formulation: Engineered to minimize carbon residue and powder fouling in semi-automatic pistol actions, keeping your barrels and slides cleaner over extended strings of fire.

• Uniform Flake Geometry: Formulated for smooth, consistent flow through volumetric powder measures, ensuring precise charge weights and tight velocity standard deviations (SD/ES).

• Wide Caliber Versatility: Features a burn rate very similar to Unique, making it exceptionally adaptable across mid-to-heavy pistol bullet weights in numerous popular handgun cartridges.

The Economic Choice for High-Volume Handgun Shooters

For active competitors and high-volume shooters who burn through powder batch by batch, purchasing the 8-pound jug reduces cost per round while eliminating the need to recalibrate powder measures for new lot numbers mid-season.
